John Furrier has launched PodTech.net. It is described by John and his team as : “Fresh Voices of Silicon Valley, Technology, and Media
The initial podcasts are from inside Barracuda Networks and Yahoo!.
Here’s wishing John all the best. He is one of the most creative people I have worked with. I hope he hits this one out of the park – like his Redsox did last year.
Here is John’s first post explaining Podtech.net:
“Develop New Relationships with Users – with Transparent Marketing PodTech.net was inspired by the notion of putting out valuable information as a utility for users to consume.
Smart marketers are distributing their marketing information in the format that their prospects and customers use to consume Internet based information. Blogs and Podcasting are perfect for this new user consumption model.
Using podcasting and weblogs (blogs) companies can now take advantage of new marketing and sales channels for rapid communications of marketing messages, new product information, and sales services to reach new customers.
Implementing podcasting marketing executives can now syndicate your marketing messages, white papers, product information, case studies, analyst reports, and other important information faster and at lower costs then traditional online techniques. Most importantly add value to users through a candid transparent approach using blogs and podcasting.
Why use Podcasts and Blogs: It’s the new interactive and real time format that users prefer to use when consuming information or media on the Internet.
Create instant presence and visibility for your new product introduction campaigns. Take advantage of credible and effective techniques for demand and lead generation. Interactive media format provides the best product and information experience and is ideal for a companies sales reps and customers.
Higher ROI through the lower costs to distribute of content.
I’m pleased to announce the creation of Archimedes Ventures. Mike Arrington and myself are having a ton of fun and will be having a ton more.
Despite tha name Archimedes is not a venture fund. In the bubble it would have been called an incubator and descriptively that is exactly what it is. Post bubble political correctness prevents us using this term (irony should be read into this sentence).
We are currently working with a number of teams developing projects. If you like what you read at our site and are an engineer, product manager or web designer who can afford to work for founders stock please get in touch. if you are an entreprenuer with an idea, we are mostly developing our own stuff. But don’t let that put you off if you think you have a compelling Web 2.0 proposition.
If you have a company and want to sell it, get it funded or take its product to the next level, we are doing a limited amount of consulting to pay the bills.
It’s great to be back.
Brad Feld has a post on how to treat and think about vesting when negotiating a term sheet.
A good read.
Dave makes a comment about KYOURadio’s terms and conditions.

You just put this URL into Windows Media Player.Happy Birthday Sir. I was 50 myself last year and it’s been a great 8 months since then – except for the unsightly body hair I have in places it didn’t used to be
.
Apart from that the world is just as interesting – actually even more so.
I predict great things for you during the next milestone decade
